Community Service
As part of our commitment to making spirits bright, the Sleigh Belle Dancers serve the Twin Cities community and raise money for local charities throughout the year.
2024 Recipient: Homeward Bound Dog Rescue
Homeward Bound is a no-kill shelter in Minneapolis dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs in need. They (and the Sleigh Belles) believe that every dog deserves a loving forever home and work tirelessly to find the perfect match for each of their rescue dogs. Their team strives to provide the best possible care for their dogs, identifying dogs in need and providing them with medical attention, training, and love until they find their forever home.
2023 Recipient: MN Endo Warriors
MN Endo Warriors is an organization that has an unwavering commitment to bettering the standard of care for those impacted by the devastating disease of endometriosis. They strive to empower endometriosis warriors through advocacy, education, and support. Endometriosis affects 10 percent of women globally and is a cause personal to the Sleigh Belle team. In 2023 we raised over $100 for this important cause.
2022 Recipient: Minnesota Hands and Voices
Minnesota Hands and Voices provides information, support, and referral to families at any point in their journey with their child who is deaf or hard of hearing, with no bias around communication modes or methodologies. In the 2022 season, the Sleigh Belle Dancers raised over $225 from our generous supporters at our events to donate to this special organization.
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children provides packaged meals to schools, orphanages, clinics, and food organizations worldwide with the goal of ending hunger. In 2022 and 2023, the Sleigh Belle Dancers helped pack over 61,000 meals!
The Salvation Army
The Sleigh Belle Dancers have volunteered as bell ringers for the Salvation Army at a variety of metro area locations over the last several years.
